Theoretical Investigation of Propagation Characteristics of Hypergeometric-Gaussian Beams Type-II Through an ABCD Optical System with an Annular Aperture

چکیده

In the framework of the paraxial approximation, the analytical expression of a family of Hypergeometric-Gaussian beams type-II passing through a paraxial ABCD optical system with a circular annular aperture is derived by means the expansion of the hard aperture function into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions and using the generalized Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral. Based on the obtained analytical formula, the corresponding closed-form for the non apertured, circular aperture or circular black screen cases are deduced. To illustrate the propagation properties of Hypergeometric-Gaussian beams type-II passing through a free space of ABCD system in a circular annular aperture, a lot of numerical simulations are given. From the present study, our results generalize some previous works.
